Stars for Christmas

The advent calendar wreath has filled out nicely! On Christmas, Q and O each added a star instead of a green leaf:

They simply hung them with invisible thread from the centered button berry on the wreath.

I initially had the invisible thread going through tiny holes punched in the felt stars, but they wouldn't hang straight (they insisted on twisting sideways!) To make them hang straight, I sewed buttons onto the stars and looped the thread around the buttons. It worked.
